Germany's SAP to invest 25 mln eur in China R&D in 2006 - Forbes.com: "SAP AG said it will spend around 25 mln eur in research and development (R&D) in China this year, and will raise annual spending to 40 mln-50 mln eur by 2008 as the German enterprise software company expands its research presence here.

Speaking to reporters in Shanghai, SAP executive board member Claus Heinrich said the company will be roughly doubling its China R&D spending while it triples its R&D employee base by 2008.

SAP Labs China president Shang-Ling Jui said his division spent almost 22 mln eur in 2005, including building, personnel and project costs, which was almost double the 2004 spending. "
