Oracle -- Could Slow and Steady Win the Race? - Forbes.com: "In the near term, the analyst expects Oracle (nasdaq: ORCL - news - people ) to grow at high single-digit rates, and could even see higher growth rates in 2008 after the release of Project Fusion, the company�s plan to merge its many application products. Shares should continue to trade in the $15 to $16 range.
Longer term, a recent Morgan Stanley survey of Oracle applications customers does not bode well for Oracle�s organic revenue growth outlook. Nearly 80% expect flat spending on Oracle�s e-business suite, while 71% see flat database spending. And only 17% said they would increase license spending on the e-business suite in 2006 � weaker than in database, overall software or overall IT spending."
