Hebrew spoken here at SAP-Microsoft project - Haaretz - Israel News

Hebrew spoken here at SAP-Microsoft project - Haaretz - Israel News: "'Mendocino is a software product that can connect Microsoft's Pronto to an organization's SAP product,' explains Brutman. 'When I set up a meeting in Outlook, which involves charging for my work hours, I can feed the information directly into the organizational system that tracks my hours. If a worker corresponds with his boss about vacation days, that, too, can be fed into his personal file in the company's internal databases.'

Although it sounds simple, it is difficult to implement.

'Working in conjunction with Microsoft was very difficult at first,' says Pik. 'We had to define what we could and could not show them. After all, every company has its trade secrets. We had to build a development tool with a common language, identical names for processes.'

The beta version of the product is already undergoing trials at the companies' big customers, and the full version of Mendocino is due to be released next month. "
