RED HERRING | SAP Wants to Be Single

"We are independent and we are pretty strong, so there's no reason why we should not continue," said Mr. Kagermann, according to Reuters.

Shares of SAP's American depository receipts dropped $1.00 to $52.70 in recent trading.

Earlier this month, SAP co-founder and supervisory board Chairman Hasso Plattner said only three companies were capable of buying SAP: Microsoft, IBM, and Google. He added that he did not see too many scenarios in which the company could be merged, and confirmed there were no ongoing talks"
