TECH CHRONICLES / A daily dose of postings from The Chronicle's technology blog (sfgate.com/blogs/tech): "When Reuven Agassi ran TopManage, Shai Agassi said, it was in three countries: Israel, Poland and Panama. After SAP bought it, within three years it was in 45 countries. Around that time, a year and a half ago, the Agassis got together at a family reunion in Mexico.
Shai saw his father and saw that his dad was seriously stressed. 'He was so stressed,' the younger Agassi recalled. 'So I said, 'You're fired.' '
It was for his own good, Agassi said, and not because dad wasn't getting the job done. It was because the son didn't want his father to 'have a heart attack on my watch.'
Guess what? Dad wasn't thrilled. "
