585 Customers Selected Oracle Over SAP in Fiscal Year 2006: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance: "Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL - News) today announced that 585 companies selected Oracle� Applications over SAP in the company's last fiscal year. In an effort to simplify information management and business process automation, companies such as BP International, Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation, HarperCollins Publishers, LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd., Linvatec Corp., Makro Atacadista, MG General Service de Mexico, S.A. de C.V, Orscheln Farm and Home, National Oilwell Varco, Thompson Enterprises, Virgin Mobile South Africa and Zhejiang Hangxiao Steel Structure recently selected Oracle Applications over SAP.

Additionally, more than 2200 SAP R/3 customers have registered in the 'OFF SAP' program, or Oracle Fusion for SAP. Under the 'OFF SAP' program, customers receive a 100% license credit for the SAP licenses as they migrate to Oracle Applications. The majority of SAP customers are running older releases that will be de-supported in December 2007."
