SAP CEO Kagermann says more large-scale mergers in software industry unlikely - Forbes.com: "SAP AG chief executive Henning Kagermann told the Financial Times Deutschland that more large-scale mergers in the software industry are unlikely.

'I am already of the opinion that we have seen the major consolidation,' Kagermann told the newspaper.

SAP has focused on making small acquisitions, unlike rival Oracle Corp, which has paid more than 18 bln usd for rival firms in recent quarters.

Kagermann also said that most of SAP's clients want the company to remain independent.

'It is no secret that a majority of our clients want a strong, independent SAP,' he said. "
