RED HERRING SAP Picks Up Praxis: "Praxis� software will now be combined with SAP�s Business One software, which helps small and midsize users manage accounting, inventory, customer relationships, and other functions. SAP works with 200 independent software companies such as Praxis to add functionality to Business One, SAP spokesperson Jim Dever said.
CEO Henning Kagermann pointed out at a conference in April that SAP would be focusing more on small and medium-sized businesses because of the market saturation for large enterprises. During a presentation, Mr. Kagermann said SAP plans to have 45 percent of its revenue come from midmarket companies by 2010 (see SAP Serious About Mid-Market). About 30 percent of SAP�s $8.5 billion in annual sales comes from midsize companies. "
