SAP's Pain No Gain For Oracle - Business Software, Fusion, Netweaver - CRN

SAP's Pain No Gain For Oracle - Business Software, Fusion, Netweaver - CRN: "Oracle's market share rose in the quarter, while SAP's fell for the first time in three years. The market for business software is far bigger than both of them, however, meaning that Oracle's gain is not necessarily SAP's loss.
'I think SAP has stumbled,' said JP Morgan software analyst John Segrich, who rates SAP 'overweight'. 'But I don't hear from anyone in the market that Oracle is taking share from SAP.'
Oracle, the world's biggest database software maker, has spent nearly $20 billion on acquisitions in the last two years to challenge SAP directly in the business of supplying companies with software to manage their operations."
