Moneycontrol India > News > India is back in favour for SAP > > Business > SAP,IT company, Henning Kagermann: "Seven months ago the company thought that India had lost the low-cost advantge. In an interview to the Financial Times in January this year the CEO of SAP, Henning Kagermann said that India was slowly getting expensive and the company would have to start looking at other locations.
But seven months down the line, Kagermann seems to have changed his mind. SAP will pump in USD 1 billion into India and more than double the headcount from 2,750 over the next five years. The company admits that entry levely salaries in India have risen sharply, but it now says this will not affect their India plans.
Kagermann said, 'I don't think the cost is now an issue. We want good talent and I think that there is plenty of that in India.' "
