SAP Customers are 20% Less Profitable

SAP Customers are 20% Less Profitable: "SAP's recent advertising campaign claims that its customers are more profitable than other companies. An independent research study recently confirmed that, in fact, the best-run businesses don't run SAP. An analysis of nearly 100 public companies listed on SAP's Web site, found that SAP customers were 20 percent less profitable than their peers.

The report analyzed the profitability of SAP customers compared to their peers by assessing their actual return on equity (ROE). It concluded that the scale and scope of many SAP projects can have a significant impact on company performance, particularly if the implementation drags out to many years and millions of dollars in costs."
